Description:

This artwork by David Davies was acquired from the David Davies family collection in the UK in 1977 by art dealer Tony Cowden. On Verso, there are remains of two labels that were previously attached, as per Tony’s guarantee of authentication, which is also mentioned by him and documented in his book “David Davies- The Expatriate Period” [London: Anthony A. Cowden, 1978]. The labels were removed at the request of the Davies family as they felt it would not represent the artist's best work in the 1978 Exhibition at Malvern Town Hall.
