Description:

This work by David Davies was obtained from the David Davies family collection in the UK in 1977 by art dealer Tony Cowden. The painting was the final piece to be packed in tea chests containing other works from the artist for shipment back to Australia for the "David Davies – The Expatriate Years" exhibition at Malvern Fine Art Gallery in 1978. Due to the condition and being unsigned, this was excluded from the exhibition.
