Description:
Elioth Gruner commenced his artistic vocation at a young age, under the tutelage of Julian Ashton at the Sydney Art School, eventually assuming the role of Ashton's apprentice. Renowned for his ethereal and delicate rural landscapes suffused with luminous light, Gruner has won the Wynne Landscape Prize on seven occasions. After a two-year European sojourn, Gruner diverged from conventional light techniques, instead employing diluted pastel hues and simplified compositions.
