Description:

In 1972, the renowned Johnstone Gallery in Brisbane closed its doors. To mark this significant event, Brian and Marjorie Johnstone commissioned the talented realist painter Max Hurley to create a piece titled "Farewell". The artwork was then used for postcards sent to the gallery's clients to announce its closure; a copy of this postcard is included.
