Description:

The theme of "Picasso’s Repose" is one that Pablo Picasso explored repeatedly throughout his career, commencing in 1908. This particular work is believed to be a portrayal of Picasso’s newlywed wife and muse, Jacqueline Roque, whom he married a fortnight before its creation.

Presently, the Picasso Administration is conducting a review of this work, and additional details will be available in due course.
